The Rump is the most flavourful cut, and for those who prefer flavour to texture, this is a fantastic choice. The cut is from the back of the animal, where the muscles work hard, thus not as soft as the other prime cuts such as the fillet or sirloin, but guarantees a flavourful taste.
The origins of Angus, or Aberdeen Angus, goes back to Scotland. We introduced Aberdeen Angus to our farm over 10 years ago and have grown a herd through our stud program. Aberdeen Angus is also known as a very good quality meat. Our marbling content is high for the breed due to our breeding policy. Our carcass grading is consistently an A to B with the result of high-quality steaks, mince, sausage and burger patties. Our marbling is consistent around 1.5 – 2 count out of 11.

For the ultimate juicy, beefy flavour, ribeye is a great choice. These ultra-flavourful steaks are essentially individually cut prime rib roasts, and they come from the cow's upper rib area. Ribeyes are super fatty, which allows them to retain their juiciness even when cooked over very high heat.

Our Hake Fishcakes are made from the very best quality Hake. The Hake used comes from Sea frozen skinless hake fillets ensuring top quality which shows in the taste. The Fishcakes are made up of 70% hake and 30% a potato blend with herbs and spices.

Our locally wild caught smoked haddock is skinless and deboned with a flaky texture and delicate flavour. A good replacement for cod, although it does have a slightly sweeter taste, which makes it the best white fish for smoking.
Our wild-caught Hake portions are expertly cut from the thickest parts of the fish, removing the bones to leave you with a prime-cut. These hake portions are skin-on. Our Hake is caught off the South African coast – between the mouth of the Orange River and Port Elizabeth. Prized for its beautiful yet delicious white flaky slightly sweet meat.
